BELONGINGS
I do not have a mill with shady willow trees
I have a horse and a whip
I will kill you and go
I do not have a red Ferrari or a pink rose
I have a rifle and a bandolier
I will shoot you and go
I do not to have a wife or a tiny yellow bikini
I have a mother and two goats
I will kiss you and stay
Hi Tom
Strangely haunting poem. Might try to find a tune for it if you don’t mind. Can’t promise to, as I don’t always succeed but I do have quite a good record on attempts. . I have a song called “Look Mum, no tears” in my blog that you could check out. I’d be tooking for something like the same sort of feel.
Best wishes Nigel

Hi Nigel. Delighted you enjoyed the poem. If you can find a tune for it that would be great – provided you send me a copy of it with you performing it!

Hi Tom. Only just seen your reply about your poem and my hope to create a song from it. Thanks for giving me the go ahead. Have not got to it yet but I will certainly send you a copy of the result after I have done so.
